چکیده

Three novel CO2-NH3 multi-evaporator cascade refrigeration systems (CRS) are proposed and evaluated for application in seafood processing high ambient. The CRSs have evaporators both above below the temperature intended to replace a multi evaporator NH3 system. They exploit comparatively superior thermo-physical properties of CO2 low while condenser keep overall operating pressure low. Thermodynamic models single validated against published literature. CRS1 has an individual compressor each CRS2 & CRS3 incorporate pumped circulation system circuits, respectively. improve efficiency, reduce ammonia charge contamination hazards from NH3. Suitability established wide range tropical ambient also cooling demands other prominent storage applications like fish fillets shrimp/prawn. is found give highest COP advantage about 11.5% surimi where foremost load at evaporator. While gainful fillet shrimp/prawn industry major 16.5% 20.3%, respectively observed processing. Dealing with climate condition Mumbai (India), CRS1, showed maximum 8.3% reduction Annual average energy consumption (AAEC), AAEC which 7.5% 13.2%,

Performance Analysis of CO2/NH3 Cascade Refrigeration System Using ANNs

In this study, artificial neural networks (ANNs) have been used for performance analysis of a CO2/NH3 cascade refrigeration system using a data set, obtained from a thermodynamic model implemented in EES. Thermodynamic parameters of the system are estimated in terms of condensing temperature of ammonia, evaporating temperature of carbon dioxide, condensing temperature of carbon dioxide and temp...

Simulation of NH3/CO2 Two-Stage Low Temperature Refrigeration System

Studied is a kind of NH3/CO2 two-stage low temperature refrigeration system, in which NH3 is used as the refrigerant in the high-temperature stage and CO2 is used as the refrigerant in the low-temperature stage. The performance of the system is simulated and analyzed by changing the mean temperature of the evaporator-condenser and the temperature of the condenser. The mean temperatures of the e...

Simulation and Validation of a R404A/CO2 Cascade Refrigeration System

The interest in natural refrigerants, such as carbon dioxide, has been growing in recent years due to the high direct global warming potential of common HFC refrigerants. Despite the environment-friendly characteristics of CO2 as a refrigerant, due to high heat rejection temperatures and transcritical operation, CO2 cannot match the high energy efficiency associated with current HFC technology....

Optimal Synthesis of a Cascade Refrigeration System of LNG Through MINLP Model for Pure Refrigerant Cycles

liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the most economical way of transporting natural gas (NG) over long distances. Liquefaction of NG by using vapor compression refrigeration system requires high operating and capital cost. Due to lack of systematic design methods for multistage refrigeration cycles, the conventional approaches of determining optimal cycle configuration are mostly based on trial-an...
